The restaurant offers the perfect setting for both summer and winter. A wide veranda for long lazy lunches and a large open fireplace for cosy wintry dining.

Chefs, Jeshua and Nathanael King have trained and worked at a variety of venues in and around Brisbane. Most recently Nathanael, after acting as head Chef at The Indooroopilly Hotel, spent a few years working closely with gourmet fresh foods and herbs at the Rocklea produce markets. Jeshua has spent some time in both hotels and fine dining venues such as James Street Bistro and Oxley's on the River. You can expect the best produce and presentation from their kitchen.

 The menu on offer is concise, yet offers a good range to choose from. It features succulent seafood and tender and full-flavoured meat dishes such as rack of lamb and fillet mignon. Vegetarian and coeliac dietary requirements are also well catered for. Desserts are delicious, including Espresso panna cotta and traditional favourites like our Rich Belgian chocolate mousse. Variety is important to Jeshua & Nathanael, changing items regularly to make the most of seasonal produce. Using top quality ingredients, we serve simple food with great flavour. Guests are delighted with the quality and consistency of menu.

 The Chef's parents Stephen and Lee-Anne have a history of hospitality in their own large family home. There are always family and friends coming and going. Most recently Lee-Anne has held a management position with a leading local furniture company. Stephen has a long history in the fresh produce markets at Rocklea. You can expect a warm welcome and friendly efficient service from Stephen, Lee-Anne and their team.

 Lyles of Montville have been members of the Restaurant and Caterers Association since opening.   We are also members of the Montville Chamber of Commerce and Blackall Range Business Tourism Association (BRBTA).  Our most recent award is Best Restaurant/Cafe Montville 2008 by the Montville Chamber of Commerce.
